Bruce Riddell designed and executed our gardens and landscaping from an absolute bare canvas of wild
forest, construction scars and rocky terrain. He has worked with us for several years developing our exterior habitats, adding new phases to complete the picture. With his expertise, he has created
a paradise of hard- and softscapes.
His penchant for both singles him out in this field. Regarding stone, he is a genius. He sculpts a land and rock masterpiece. He maneuvers boulders, schift and granite, set in a way that appears they
had always been there and exactly for the reasons he had placed each piece. He manages to transform acres of earth with little interruption, completely respectful of the environment. His instinctive
perception of the process allows for a natural progression; in no time at all he has meshed the landscape into a cultivated yet naturally fitting garden. As someone said, “It's not man and nature, it's
man in nature". Bruce brings an appropriate awareness and a rare sensitivity to the table.
Like most artisans, Bruce designs and works from a creative intuitive place - rather silently and organically. He
is less about plans and more about the results that unfold. With his extensive experience, he envisions a chosen
concept and is adept at producing the anticipated outcome with quality workmanship and spot-on timing, then
arranges for the nurturing of the gardens to metamorphose year after year.
He chooses an outstanding collection of plants, trees, sods and more, interwoven with taste and imagination.
His environs are friendly for use yet absorbing and unique to its client. Our gardens demonstrate Bruce's innate eye for
aesthetics, exclusive skills, and kind soul. Our relationship with Bruce Riddell is now spiritually bound in this earth.
